The Account Manager provides high-quality information regarding investing in precious metals to Company customers. Specialty Account Managers develop and maintain their own book of business by developing relationships initiated by APMEX customers and by gaining referrals from their customer base. A Specialty Account Manager educates and informs APMEX customers in making the most informed decision to include precious metals in their portfolios. A Specialty Account Manager works closely with their customers to effectively communicate the importance of allocating assets between four asset classes to insure a balanced portfolio.

Successful Account Managers Do This:

-Develop the financial acumen to assist the customer in understanding the role of gold as the fourth asset class; golds role in asset allocation; and how asset allocation creates a balanced and diverse portfolio

-Develop and maintain professional relationships with APMEX customers who contact us regarding their portfolios.

-The Specialty Account Manager will use these opportunities to build a book of business; determine optimal times and methods to communicate with customers; and service their customers by understanding their overall investment goals

-Grow their customer base by gaining referrals from current customers

-Stay up to date and well informed of the news and events that affect the precious metals markets, and keep their customers informed as well

-Be willing to go above and beyond for their customers in order to facilitate flawless acquisition and delivery of their precious metals

A Day in the Life of an Inside Sales Account Manager:

-Respond to inbound customer calls by educating and informing them on setting up an APMEX account, making decisions on the purchase of precious metals, and following up on purchase, delivery and education questions

-Proactively contact registered customers to provide continuing education and information or to follow up on questions or issues

-Read and understand any materials provided by the Company regarding the precious metals industry, product lines, or both

-Participate in and excel at any training programs

-Provide feedback from the customer to the Company in accordance with channels of communication established by the Vice President of Sales

Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field preferred

-Experience: 1 or more years of professional sales experience preferred

-Working knowledge of financial products (insurance, securities, mortgages, etc.), preferably investments preferred

-Interest in and knowledge of precious metals preferred

-Strong skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
