Growing furniture maker/retailer looking for a super star!
We own a small boutique furniture store. Looking for a part time (leading to full time) sales person. This position is an assistant position to the owners.
The position requires a host of skills. You will interface with customers on a daily basis, explain our products to them, and close the sale in a retail store. You will also be responsible; for tagging incoming merchandise, handling money and credit cards, writing paperwork, ensuring the sales floor is kept spotless at all times, arranging displays for optimal sales, moving furniture and accessories, following up with customers to close the sale, entering data into our sales and customer service systems correctly and working with customers, advising them on colors/designs/accessories and every other facet of interior design. We host events frequently, for holidays and other promotional reasons, so the ability to do what it takes to help make those events work is critical.
Previous experience in interior design AND sales will be helpful if not required
Professionalism, courtesy, appropriate dress and demeanor are required. You must be willing to work flexible hours, which will include weekends on a consistent basis, without interruption.
Hours are part time to start and, for the right person, will lead to full time employment.
