Provide deployment and monitoring for all enterprise applications running in our development and testing and level I production environments. Collaborate with QA, Development, and IT in deploying, testing and debugging the enterprise applications and systems. Identify issues that affect software release scope, risk, and quality. Consult with testers, database administrators, and developers to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Expected to write documentation to describe operational procedures and change control.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deploy new application software and updates as required, including but not limited to web applications, web services, windows services and scheduled tasks.
  • Provide level I support for software releases and enterprise systems.
  • Provide support for our testing and level I production environments including after hours and on weekends as required.
  • Identify deployment issues to our testing and level I production environments, including but not limited to issues related to source code repositories, build, issue tracking, reporting, and other third party tools.
  • Deploy and validate software necessary to manage development life cycle, included but not limited to development requests, QA testing, approvals and release/deployment history.
  • Ensure accuracy of logs maintained for all deployment requests, troubleshooting steps, methods, and resolutions using service desk software.
  • Debug enterprise application issues to identify problems in our testing and level I production environments by reviewing errors and program code.
  • Coordinate between Operations, QA, IT and Development for problem resolution concerning any errors occurring in our software.
  • Plan, deploy, implement, and monitor routine tasks required for daily business operations using third party tools/applications.
  • Monitor the accuracy of release repositories.
  • Participate in release activities for the test and production level 1 environment between Operations, QA, IT, and Development.
  • Regular attendance as required

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor Degree Computer Science/Information Technology

Knowledge of:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 7 Enterprise)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as MYSQL server, SQL server, ORACLE server and client server concepts.
  • General knowledge of business and/or systems analysis
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams that may form and disband quickly
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Win2K, Windows XP)
  • General knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and troubleshooting tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess the ability to learn and understand business processes and relationship of systems and applications used to accomplish those processes
  • Proficient, analytical, decisive, troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to write clear instructions for end users
  • Occasionally required to work overtime (nights and/or weekends)
  • Frequently sits and remains on the phone for extended periods.
