DistribuTech Media Solutions currently has a career opportunity for a part time Collections Specialist in our corporate office.
Essential Functions:
Monitor aged customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and account irregularities
Process payments
Contact customers directly regarding missed/late payments, and develop action plan to bring accounts current
Communicate and follow up effectively with sales team regarding customer accounts
Resolve billing issues
Update account status records
Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress
Answer AR phone line
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proactive self-starter
Excellent negotiation skills
Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of billing procedures
Good written and verbal communication skills required
Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
High school diploma
Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
Experience in QuickBooks
Knowledge of various collection techniques
Working knowledge of MS Office
