System One is assisting a Tulsa area client with a search for a Controller. They will be overseeing the accounting team working directly with the CFO. They will be reviewing the work of others and also preparing forecasts and other special projects. Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor the Accounting & Finance team providing necessary tools to achieve their goals and responsibilities. Encourage teamwork and collaboration
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes. Preparation and analysis of financial statements
Prepare forecasts and support strategic planning
Stay current on new accounting pronouncements and determine impact to the organization. Develop implementation strategies working with the CFO
Ensure internal control processes are in place and functioning properly. Assist with external audits
Oversee tax compliance and financial risk management. Oversee filing of quarterly and annual regulatory reports
Involved in special projects providing financial insights for business decisions. Consistently look for ways to improve processes gaining efficiencies and/or reducing costs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MS degree preferred
CPA certification required
5+ years in accounting or finance, with 3+ years in public accounting required
Proven experience in managing teams and financial operations
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in Excel and financial software
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Some travel required (less than 25%)
Salary: 110K - $140K
