DescriptionHumana's Mergers & Acquisitions group is seeking an Analyst in Corporate Development to assist in the evaluation and execution of large scale mergers and acquisitions across the enterprise. The Analyst will be an integral part of the M&A team and will support all parts of the transaction evaluation process and will work closely with senior management to identify and evaluate potential acquisition Key activities may include: Competitive analysis/market intelligence, financial and valuation modeling, driving/leading due diligence processes, instructing/directing/teaching junior members of the team, producing analyses suitable for leadership.ResponsibilitiesThe M&A Analyst makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.Key activities include: Competitive analysis/market intelligence, financial and valuation modeling, driving/leading due diligence processes, instructing/directing/teaching junior members of the team, producing analyses suitable for leadership.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree, MBA Preferred

0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field with exposure to investment banking, venture capital, corporate development, or large scale transactions

Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses

Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments

Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and multiple stakeholders

Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information

Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment

Preferred QualificationsExperience in a public accounting, finance, treasury, banking or top tier consultancy firm

Prior healthcare industry experience

Master's degree
