Currently Robert Half Technology is looking for a Database Administrator who can contribute their problem-solving skill set to various challenges. Figure out the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
Configure database monitoring utilities to avoid false alarms
Fix database service outages as they occur, including after hours and weekends
Establish the baseline for system performance, recognize deviation, and suggest and implement improvements to slow running queries
Verify that the design and execution of database server topology, configuration, and maintenance fulfill SLA goals
Provide guidance on database design, tuning options, and other possible issues
Install, configure, and maintain all relational database instances across development, staging, and production environments- Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred
Prior experience with Database Technologies
General familiarity with NoSQL DB
Skills in Database Maintenance
Comprehension of database management
Solid understanding of PowerShell Scripting
MySQL Database experience
Hands-on experience with Database Tuning
Well-founded grasp of NoSQL Technologies
Solid understanding of MongoDB
Proven knowledge of NoSQL
Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Database
Earlier work involving Database Backup
Quality experience with Write SQL Queries
Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL
Wide ranging experience with Database Administration
Knowledge of Python Scripting
Practical knowledge of T-SQL
Experience with Database Performance
MySQL experience preferred
Good understanding of Database Application
Previous experience working with database development
Previous experience with production and on-call environments
Experience developing and maintaining documentation
5+ years of database experience
Good understanding of relational database management systems
Experience tuning queries to improve performance
Storage and server hardware experience a plus
