Medicare Beneficiaries can now receive services remotely from their Doctor, Nurse Practioners, Clinical Psychologists and Licensed Clinical Social workers including Telehealth Visits, Virtual Check-ins and E-Visits.

There is an urgency to expand the use of technology to help those on Medicare who need routine care, and keep those with a range of symptoms in their homes while maintaining access to the care they need. Beginning March 6, 2020, a range of providers were able to bill for telehealth services to their patients, including those not living in designated rural areas. Distant site practitioners who can furnish and get payment for covered telehealth services (subject to state law) can now include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse midwives, certified nurse anesthetists, clinical psychologists, clinical social workers, registered dietitians and nutritional professionals.

In a great leap forward in telehealth technology, the ground-breaking Pro-Health Smart Hub, was introduced by Electronic Caregiver, Inc. this January at the Consumer Electonics Show in Las Vegas, Nv. It features a cellular-based console that can be paired with several Bluetooth devices including a blood pressure cuff, a pulse/oximeter, weight scale and a glucometer. Specific to COVID-19, it can also be paired with a non-contact thermometer and a spirometer that can measure both PEF and FEV1. and is capable of detecting anomalies in fever, cough and shortness of breath. Providers can set pre-determined ranges of values, and if a reading occurs outside those ranges, an alert is broadcast to providers in real time calling for intervention.

Electronic Caregiver has extensive experience working with medical providers around the Country. If you are an Oklahoma provider, and are interested in offering telehealth services to your clients, we would like to start a dialog with you and our Senior Care Partner-Oklahoma Mr. Jim Carroll, a resident of Broken Arrow. Give him a call and he can explain the Pro Health in detail. Ask him to demonstrate his own Pro Health System via ZOOM. He can also arrange a conference call for you and your staff with our home office. If you are new at telehealth, and most providers are, let us give you the benefit of our experience. Give Jim a no obligation call to get things started. At some point your Medicare clients are going to learn about the many benefits of this new technology. Let's make sure they hear about them from you instead of another provider.
