As a result of COVID-19, the year 2020 will long be remembered as the year that Telehealth came of age. It will also be remembered due to a ground-breaking new technology that was introduced in January, by Electronic Caregiver, Inc., at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Pro-Health System.
The Pro Health is a cellular-based console that can be paired with several Bluetooth devices, including a Blood Pressure Cuff, a Pulse/Oximeter, a Weight-Scale and a Glucometer. Specific to COVID-19, it can also be paired with a non-contact Thermometer and a Spirometer that measures both PEF and FEV1. These two devices can detect anomalies in fever, cough and shortness of breath…the three classic signs of Coronavirus infection. Should anomalies be detected, alerts are broadcast in real time via the Cloud to Care-Circle members and Providers, calling for immediate intervention. The Pro Health system also provides for medication reminders, emergency alerts, Physician-on-Demand, etc.
