Material handler is responsible for the physical shipping and receiving of supplies and customer parts, as well
as all paperwork involved.
Loading and unloading trucks
Quickly and accurately transferring material between departments
Completing work order forms
Ensure paperwork (work orders, UPS Record Book, Bill of Ladings) get completed properly
Maintain equipment and department in good working order
Perform weekly cycle counts
Operating forklifts
Wrapping and packaging of parts
Weighing and counting parts
Receiving supplies and sending them to the appropriate departments
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Other Functions
Communicating directly with the sales department and other department heads
Relocating and cross training when necessary
5S and Lean Manufacturing upkeep in department
Must be able to perform physical activities (pushing, pulling, lifting) up to 50 lbs.
