As the Innovation and Sourcing Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for progressing our strategic priorities, with a focus on representing Controlling to enable strategies across a wide range of technical and operational accounting matters. You will partner with various Supply Chain related functions, including Global Sourcing and Manufacturing, among others. You will also take an active role in the execution of high-quality accounting processes to support complete and accurate financial statements and reports.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Innovation + Sourcing Accounting Manager will be proactive, accountable, collaborative, and curious, with a strong accounting and communications skillset. The role requires a high degree of engagement with a diverse range of business partners as strategies are developed. We are looking for a teammate who has the ability and curiosity to research and apply US GAAP and operational process requirements to a variety of projects and initiatives. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactive partnering with business and finance teammates to provide valuable insights and guidance as the business makes strategic decisions
  • Participating in the development and deployment of Innovation and Sourcing objectives and projects
  • Review of arrangements to evaluate and conclude on technical accounting implications and operational feasibility, including product costs, contingencies, research and development, and other technical matters
  • Communicating accounting risks, considerations and conclusions to a diverse audience
  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining technical accounting policies, internal controls, and close / reporting methodologies which support accounting conclusions
  • Agile navigation of ambiguous and continuously evolving business landscape, organization and associated strategies in order to triangulate and evaluate accounting considerations

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be part of the Controlling organization, reporting to the Director, Innovation + Sourcing Accounting. In this position, you will work cross-functionally with partners in Global Sourcing and Manufacturing, with a focus on Materials Sourcing & Manufacturing, in support of critical initiatives. You will also partner with Controlling teammates and other enabling functions such as Legal and Finance to optimally support our business partners in their accounting-related needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with growing responsibility in public accounting, industry accounting, finance, or related functions
  • CPA required
  • Strong understanding and experience with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
  • High standards for accountability and quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to optimally identify, communicate, and influence technical matters, issues, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Experience with large multinational company, including corporate and subsidiary operations is preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP ERP strongly preferred
