The Global Risk Management team reports directly to Nike's Board of Directors, and supports management through innovative strategic assurance and dynamic enterprise risk management activities that improve and protect Nike, Inc.'s value. Insights provided to our business partners help them dynamically manage and optimize risk, which ultimately improves business performance and builds resiliency and competitive advantage.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Strategic Risk Manager to partner with critical business leaders to continuously evolve Nike's enterprise risk portfolio. This candidate will engage across Nike functions and businesses to assess, monitor and govern strategic risks to optimize our risk profile. This role is instrumental in building risk intelligence within the Global Risk Management (GRM) function and across our businesses to inform strategic decision making and resource prioritization. In this role, you will have an opportunity to partner broadly across the team and enterprise on top enterprise risks and strategic priorities, building a strong risk management foundation. The candidate needs to have the ability to think strategically and instill trust with business partners coupled with an enterprise risk management skillset.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a critical team member you will partner with leaders within our GRM and Finance teams, and across our key cross-functional partners in the business, focusing on key accountabilities such as:

- Execution of strategic risk projects and risk management activities including risk assessments and risk governance

- Portfolio management of strategic risk capabilities for effective risk governance, including development and management of project plans, executive level storytelling and stakeholder engagement and accountability

- Continuous sensing and assessing of new or evolving risks, helping key partners optimize impacts across the strategic risk portfolio

- Support the execution of the continuous risk assessment process and communication of results to executive management and Audit and Finance Committee to influence behavior and ultimately inspire change

- Partner with enterprise leaders and risk owners (first line of defense) to identify and evaluate risks and opportunities, supporting strategic growth opportunities and execution plans

- Collaborate closely with key partners (first and second lines of defense) within GRM and business leaders to embed effective risk management practices to support effective decision making and business strategy development

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Director, Strategic Risk Management, and partner closely across GRM, Finance and key cross-functional business partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education, experience and training (MBA and other advanced degree highly preferred)

- 6+ years total business experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, strategy, management consulting, finance, or related fields

- Experience assessing business risk and translating risk to business impacts

- Knowledge of key enterprise risks (e.g. data privacy, cybersecurity, business resiliency) and experience developing related risk governance programs

- Proven portfolio and project management experience, highly organized, ensuring timely completion of project deliverables for themselves and for others, requiring minimal guidance and oversight

- Demonstrated strong executive level communication skills, partnering with business leaders and influence colleagues across a diverse, matrixed organization

- Demonstrated ability to influence risk owners and inspire change

- Experience leading complex projects across a diverse set of partners across the enterprise
