Description
The Engineering Intern will be assigned a variety of tasks using SolidWorks 3D CAD software. The work will begin with drafting for composite and metal parts, and later will include light design work. The candidate will be responsible for preparing drawings for the various aircraft systems, parts, tools, assembly fixtures, and more. Experience working in a certified aircraft engineering environment is a strong plus. Adherence to standards created by the company regarding engineering procedures for drafting and design is required.
Requirements
The candidate must have experience using Solidworks to create drawings and 3D models. They should have a good understanding of drawings for manufacturing of metal parts and preferably have some understanding of composites. The applicant must have strong computer literacy, good organizational skills, and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. Recent engineering graduates and upper level engineering students are preferred. Aviation industry experience is a strong plus.
