Elegant retirement community is seeking a full-time Activity Director in our professional, fun, and friendly Management team! This is a full-time salaried position. Plans, schedules, and directs activity programs and transportation services for independent, active seniors. Supervises activity personnel. Participates in facility management and marketing teams. Coordinates transportation services.
Position Summary: Activities Director
Develops, implements, and evaluates all areas of independent activity programs including but not limited to: in-house games, crafts, social functions, music and entertainment events, education programs, day trips, overnight trips, and participation in local community activities and events.
Develops, implements, and evaluates all areas of residential care activity programs similar to or in conjunction with independent programs.
Prepares monthly calendar in a timely manner for approval by General Manager.
Oversees Gift Shop operation.
Oversees transportation program including scheduling vehicles, trips, appointments, and resident sign-ups. Reports vehicle status and needs to Maintenance.
Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of department budget
Provides orientation to new residents and ongoing information services to existing residents.
Participates in planning and implementation of marketing events.
Coordinates volunteer program for facility.
Participates in marketing programs, tours, and events.
