NAVIS is excited to be hiring an experienced Data Analyst to our growing team in Bend, Oregon! This is a newly-created position on our Engineering Team.
The Data Analyst at NAVIS is responsible for shaping our Data Analytics product to help our clients make data-driven decisions. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for data exploring, accurate data analysis, and data modeling to build outstanding data visualization dashboards.
Our needs for data consumption are constantly growing, making this position a great opportunity to put both your analytical and creative skills to the test to resolve our unique and interesting challenges. As a Data Analyst, you ideally understand the Hospitality industry and are in-tune with the distinctive business questions of our clients. You will explore data, define and track KPIs, and determine the best way to represent the data for easy consumption to respond these questions. You will be responsible for accurate data analysis, dashboard/report building, and metrics reviews.
POSITION LOCATION:
This position is located at our offices in the historic Old Mill District in beautiful Bend, Oregon.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least five (5) years in a similar Data Analyst / Business Analyst function / position
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Senior-level fluency in data analysis and communication around data, including time series analysis, experimentation, data visualization, and defining KPI strategy for your business
- Ability to effectively partner with multiple teams to explore data and conduct relevant analysis
- Experience developing dashboards from scratch with tools such as Sisense, Tableau, and/or PowerBI to build visually simple and actionable reports
- Experience working with remote teams in multiple time zones
- Articulate verbal and written communications skills must be able to bundle complex data into easily digestible pieces and effectively present accurate conclusions to stakeholders at all levels in the organization
- Sound business judgment; strategic and analytical capabilities
- Ability to prioritize and multitask; ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (not required):
- Technical background and programming in Python
- Familiarity with R and machine learning techniques
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience in Hospitality industry
