Tech Support Tester, Hillsboro, OR

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Tech Support Tester for one of our top clients in Hillsboro, OR.

General lab testing (scripted and non-scripted), setup and support including building and configuring systems, maintenance of lab systems and equipment as well as other general lab tasks. Identify, document, and debug of issues.

Pay is $20/hr and includes full benefits. This is an open ended contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of computer hardware including PC devices
  • Build Hardware Platforms -Execute tests in a manual or automated environment
  • Build systems and configure hardware, Updating/Flashing BIOS, and updating of drivers.
  • Installation of Microsoft OS software (Win7/8.1/10) and occasionally Linux and Chrome - Knowledge of Windows operating systems including advanced configuration.
  • Software Validation - SW application installation -Follow technical directions carefully and accurately.
  • Runs predefined software installation and tests in a controlled environment, and records both the system set up and test results accurately.
  • Document failures -Reproduce Failures -Primary Debug-Execute test plans-Ad Hoc and Predefined.
  • Accurate Documentation of issues / Bug reporting /Minor Editing of existing tests.
  • Testing experience and vPro knowledge are a Plus.
  • Other general lab duties and responsibilities as well as other miscellaneous related support tasks.
  • Assists in layout changes in the lab by rewiring configurations and assisting with machine placements as well as other miscellaneous related support tasks.
  • Demo setup and troubleshoot.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation of issues and ability to work well in a team environment.
