Pre-Commercial Seed Processing Coordinator
Come join the team located at our Tangent, Oregon seed production facility. We are currently looking for a Pre-Commercial Seed Processing Coordinator, who will support pre-commercial plant operations, warehouse activities and various personnel ensuring that the best quality of seed is produced and processed for the Company.
Essential Job Functions:
Support overall quality, efficiencies of production flow, on floor operations and personnel.
Assist in root cause analysis including quality and purity issues.
Support inventory and storage area ensuring inventory transactions and shipments are accurate.
Ensure seed splitting and package accuracy and quality standards are met or exceeded meeting communicated timelines.
Operate seed processing equipment from initial receiving of product from the fields through packaging the finished product including cleaning equipment, gravity tables, sizing, rotarys, dryers, coloring and chemical application equipment and packaging.
Works to assure quality needs are met or exceeded.
Train and lead crews in seed processing functions, make decisions in supervisors absence and take ownership for product produced.
Work rotating shifts as needed
Develop and maintain respectful working relationships with all departments.
Occasionally travel/drive/operate forklift on behalf of the business.
Required Qualifications:
2+ yrs of work experience, or combination of education and work experience in agriculture/similar field.
Demonstrated team leadership, communication, organizational, training and computer skills.
Valid drivers license.
Able to become forklift certified.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in agriculture or similar field.
General working mechanical knowledge
Ability to use multiple inventory/ warehousing/shipping system programs
