WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Value Management Director is responsible for leading all activities that support the end-to-end value realization process for initiatives that make up the Finance transformation portfolio. Critical support will be provided in:

  • Developing and maintaining the overall transformation initiative portfolio, inclusive of prioritizing initiatives through quantitative analysis and scoring methodologies in conjunction with the leadership team.
  • Setting up and deploying an effective value monitoring capability, leveraging streamlined tracking and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Coordinating with transformation leads across the function to maintain and update the initiative and overall value cases based on adjustments to plan & scope.
  • Ensuring enablers are in place to execute the transformation value strategy - including methodologies, templates, and standards to improve the speed to impact and value of the greater program.
  • Owning the functions annual and long-term budgeting process with respect to initiatives and transformation.
  • Communicating status and issues to stakeholders and leadership related to prioritization and value realization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Finance Transformation Value Management team is responsible for opportunity management and value realization administration for Global Finance's multiyear functional transformation plan.

This work includes the identification and prioritization of new opportunities, establishing and monitoring the value realization of these opportunities and the broader plan, and coordinating the end-to-end funding and budgeting process. You'll help set-up the foundation for a successful value management office, inclusive of the practices and processes needed to maintain an evergreen long-term roadmap.

You'll work closely with executive and functional leadership to understand the needs of the function in relation to transformation and help report out on the achievement of those needs through quantitative business cases. Key to this achievement will be administering the function's budgeting process to ensure that our resources are invested where they will provide the greatest qualitative and quantitative return.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Your stakeholders will truly range the gamut, from collaboration with Global Finance leadership to the teams that support them including Global Tax & Treasury, Global Risk Management, FP&A, Controlling, etc. You'll work extensively with partners throughout the globe, supporting the value realization visibility and efforts wherever NIKE Finance is based.

You will also interact with a wide variety of our internal partners from other areas of the organization (such as Technology, Enterprise Communications, etc.) in addition to external partners who support our broader transformation efforts as we navigate our multi-year change.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, accounting or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Value Management and Portfolio Management at large multinational corporations.
  • Deep experience with project management, preferably with value optimization or business case components.
  • Experience with value reporting, metrics and analysis of value performance.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and initiative to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong leadership ability and understanding/application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as project/change management, idea creation, and cross-team effectiveness.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
