Café Aroma is looking for a couple of upbeat, customer service oriented people to join our team. We are located inside the Valley River Center right across from JC Penny. Depending on the applicant, hours may vary from 10-30 hours per week, with extra hours available during the holidays. Here at Café Aroma we strive to maintain a high level of quality in everything we do. In the quality of our beverages, the customer service we provide, and the cleanliness of our store; we expect our employees to be able to meet/exceed the company's high standards that our customers have come to expect. We provide a wide variety of menu options to choose from, including; espresso drinks, coffee drinks, Italian sodas, creamosas, as well as an assortment of loose leaf teas. We also have some items for retail sale. It is important to note that Café Aroma does not employ a very large staff, usually only around 8 people, so it is essential any candidate understands what it means to work in such a small team environment. For us it means it is crucial that the person we hire is, flexible, reliable, hard-working, has a positive attitude, and wants to be a part of a cohesive team environment, where we all work together to get the job done, while creating an enjoyable working environment.
The ideal candidate will be able to meet these requirements:
- 2 years Barista experience
- Working nights and weekends
- Working holidays: Such as, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Christmas break
- Have or able to obtain an Oregon food handlers card
- Willing to work as part of a team as well as independently
- An attention to detail
- Able to learn quickly
- Able to work in a fast paced environment, while still able to maintain a high level of quality
- Punctual
- Reliable
- Flexible
- Willing to cover shifts with short notice (for example when a coworker is sick)
- A positive/friendly attitude
- Great customer service skills
- Self-starter
