Prep Cook (Part-time)
The Eugene Hotel is Eugene’s premier retirement community. We are looking for a prep cook with good knife skills.
Qualifications:
Creative and innovative, a team player, quality-oriented and presentation-minded.
Able to multitask and exceed all standards in each shift position.
Reliable and able to stand and work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
Able to communicate effectively with team members.
Demonstrate good personal hygiene as well as cleaning and sanitizing skills.
Essential Functions
Prepare food for salad bar and some meals in accordance with planned menus.
Identify and perform all types of inventory, rotate properly and consolidate when appropriate.
Understand correct cooking times and temperatures of each piece of equipment.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils and storage areas in a pristine condition.
Ensure that all food is prepared to satisfaction of residents and in accordance with safe food handling practices.
Maintain food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving according to required food safety standards.
Maintain a clean kitchen. This includes all equipment, walls, dry storage, cold storage cooking, and preparation surfaces and dish storage areas.
Must possess Oregon Food Handler Card or be able to get one within 30 days of employment.
