The Certified Medical Assistant participates in the care of the patient, under the direct supervision and authority of the Physician and in collaboration with the healthcare team. Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas. Rooms and prepares patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by physician. Assists physician with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed.
Minimum of a graduation from an accredited medical assisting program and proof of successful completion of the CMA (AAMA) Certification Examination or equivalent. Current Basic Life Support Certification a plus.
This is a per diem/on call position. Generally, 1-2 days per week but can be up to 5 days. Work location will vary and occasionally may be asked to work on short notice. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
