Caregiver needed for Eugene woman with multiple sclerosis
Compensation: $14.50/hour
Duties would include personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, appointments, and morning and evening routines depending upon shift.
Personal care implies that you will need to be the hands for this woman. She has MS and is a quadriplegic thus you will need to help with all daily activities. This includes showering, eating, getting ready for the day, and getting to and from places.
Familiarity with an in ceiling Hoyer-lift system and catheter care would be beneficial.
Currently we are looking for a caregiver to work day shift Monday through Thursday from 8am to 3pm or 4pm. The normal daily routine constituting of getting out of bed, showering, getting dressed, eating breakfast, running errands or going to appointments, and doing light household chores. Having a caregiver who knows how to cook is highly advantageous. The woman you would be caring for has a liquid diet and the husband has no food restrictions and/or special diets.
We are looking for a caregiver that is flexible to work when caregivers are ill, or request a vacation day.

The ideal candidate is a person of integrity who is looking for a long-term caregiving position with part-time hours, female, congenial, non-smoker with a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
CNA is ideal but is not required.

If hired full-time you will have the opportunity to work 400+ hours per year under the supervision of a physician to maintain your certification or license.
