The Recruiter/Human Resources Assistant will assist with the completion of all day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The Recruiter/HR Assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: safety and worker compensation, employee selection, employee relations, and training and development. Assist an expanding Human Resources department in hiring exceptional staff that supports adults in 24 hour residential programs, supported living and community inclusion. The primary objective of the organization is to provide high quality of life for adults with disabilities through a devoted, caring, and empowering staff. The Human Resources assistant will develop a superior workforce through recruitment, employee screening, interviewing, training and development.
A successful candidate for the Recruiter/HR Assistant position will be highly organized, have exceptional organization, and attention to detail that is very high. You should have a basic understanding of FMLA/OFLA, ADA, OSHA, EEOC, Unemployment Claims, Worker’s Compensation, and other state and federal laws. You should be a highly motivated and driven recruiter and be able to communicate with a diverse group of applicants and employees. Ensuring that all on-boarding documents are completed in a timely manner is an essential part ot this position. As a small HR department it is important to be flexible with job duites and be willing and able to transition from one job to the next mulitple times during the day. You should be able to develop the topics and lead safety, wellness, or other HR related meetings. The ability to complete assigned task in a timely manner is essential to the duties of this Recruiter/HR Assistant position.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of HR and/or high volume recruitment experience.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification
