Personnel Source is looking for candidates for a Manufacturing/Assembly position with our West Eugene client!
2nd shift (Hours 3:30pm to midnight) full-time Machine Operator & Assembler, located in our manufacturing plant in Eugene, OR now available! With limited supervision, performs entry level machining of parts and tools, typically on one or more machines.
Knowledge: Understands safety is everyone’s first priority. Familiarity of qualities of metals and alloys and applies that knowledge to parts being machined. Comprehends most forms of technical documents including blue prints and drawings, written specifications, charts, tables, etc.
Skills: Sets up, lays out own work and operates many of the available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations on work involving close tolerances or unusual requirements. Skillfully uses all machinist hand tools and measuring instruments and assembles components as necessary.
Abilities: Works effectively with others as part of a high performing team. Maintains a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history. Preserves high efficiencies and run rates for given machine.
Required to effectively use personal computers, data management systems and software.
Education: High School diploma required.
Physical Demand: Moderate physical effort consisting of frequent standing, twisting, bending, lifting, moving or turning average weight material. Must demonstrate manual dexterity and may be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
