We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our world-class team!

Summary:

Accounting Assistant supports the Accounting and Buying department by performing a wide variety of accounting, administrative and clerical duties. This position works closely with Lead Bookkeeper and Head Buyer to ensure the departments run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions. As well as being a liaison between the Accounting department, Buying department, the Warehouse and external vendors. Update, process, and record transactions, prepare financial reports, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

Reconcile manufacturing purchase order invoices, identify, research and resolve discrepancies against receiving reports in a timely fashion

Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies

Assist with the operational and manufacturing accounts payable process

Assist with the reconciliation of vendor statements, bank, credit cards, and other financial reports

Assist with the preparation and recording of weekly cash deposits

Assist with the posting of financial data to appropriate accounts, spreadsheets, and bookkeeping software

Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports

Assist with property management financials and coordination of building maintenance, inspections, and repairs

Maintain confidentiality of a company and financial information and data

Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules and regulations to all work to ensure compliance and applicable standards

Perform office tasks, such as filing, data entry, and handling communications with internal staff and vendors

Qualifications:

Proficient with advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel

Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and time management

Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy

Exceptional organizational and administrative skills

Possess a courteous, can-do, professional demeanor with a strong ethical code

Ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines and remaining motivated and positive

Demonstrate sound decision-making skills, good judgment and problem-solving

Ability to work successfully independently as well as in a team atmosphere on assigned duties and projects

Self-starter with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Consistently reliable and dependable

Experience and Education:

Associates or Bachelors degree in related field preferred or equivalent related experience

At least (2) years of working experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and/or Payroll
