King Estate Winery is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician to work in our Quality Control laboratory.
The lab technician will support daily lab operations through product sampling, reagent preparation, and routine wine analysis. Additional duties include, but are not limited to data entry, equipment upkeep, dish washing, and general lab maintenance.
The position requires a flexible schedule and may include nights and weekends. Additional requirements are listed below:
Requirements:
Degree in physical science or equivalent program and/or comparable work experience in a lab.
General knowledge of chemical processes and laboratory methods.
Basic computer skills in MS Excel, Word and database systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work schedule flexibility during harvest months.
Ability to lift 35 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
Additional Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
Degree in Fermentation Science or experience working in food manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge/practice in aseptic technique.
Knowledge/prior use of lab standard operating procedures.
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-throughput production laboratory.
Ability to work closely with other team members and maintain professionalism.
