ïª R&D Plant Procurement Specialist
As our R&D Plant Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the procurement, multiplication, and movement of R&D plant material globally. It is essential for this position to provide timely delivery of plants to meet the R&D production schedule. This position will ensure that new products, both internal and external genetics, follow Fall Creeks clean plant standards and meet traceability initiatives.
This position requires solid knowledge and experience working with data management. A Bachelors degree in Horticulture or closely related plant biology field is required, as well as +1-year field experience.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensures traceability of tissue culture R&D Processes.
2. Manages plant importation permitting, quarantine, and testing.
3. Coordinates tissue culture initiation scheduling, tissue collection, and data management.
4. Track tissue culture inventory management and distribution of R&D material.
5. Carry on plant ordering, order fulfillment, and planting oversight of R&D material.
6. Manage and maintain records for propagation and plant certification purposes for R&D and production teams.
7. Runs annual true-to-type and disease screening scheduling, tissue sampling, and data management.
