Job Title: Flooring Installer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Installs various types of flooring application including marble, granite, wood and carpeting.

Marble, Granite and Wood Applications:

Cut and install sub floor.

Cut and install marble, granite, or tile.

Cut and polish brass inserts.

Mix mortar.

Grout and caulk.

Bull nose, sand, & polish marble, granite, or tile.

Installing wood floor products.

Carpet Applications:

Layout and cut carpet to size.

Install tack strip.

Install carpet pad.

Install carpet.

Install chase carpet.

Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve to twenty-four months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
