Night Dispatcher –Chip Trucks
Chip Trucking Co. –Eugene, OR
Well-established chip trucking company with an excellent reputation in the local hauling industry. We are currently looking to add a high quality, dependable, full-time Night Dispatcher to our team.
This is an ideal position for someone that has solid experience in dispatching, and a work history of being extremely reliable. We offer an excellent work environment, steady work schedule, competitive salary and benefits package.
Specific duties may include:
Scheduling and routing product loads
Provide drivers with pertinent information and communication for all loads
Responsible for monitoring timely and efficient movement of loaded trucks
Ensuring that all driver documentation is submitted in a timely manner
Keeping customers informed of delivery status
Advocating and maintaining a strong commitment to safety in the operating process
Developing and maintaining a professional, mentoring relationship with drivers
Using our systems and programs to manage orders and set up deliveries
Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles
Routine data entry of all load tickets.
Specific qualifications include:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong phone and radio skills (good listener and able relay clear directions)
Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and data entry
Ability to prioritize work flow and manage multiple service needs simultaneously, while working independently
Previous dispatch and driver supervision experience is strongly preferred
Ideal candidate has a Class A CDL and a current medical card
Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills
Well organized with attention to details
Mechanical knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is a plus
