Major Areas of Responsibility:Check-in/out, cataloging and storage of parts, equipment, and maintenance of inventory DB
Provide customer service - Answering questions from Lab Depot customers and providing the equipment and materials needed
Pickup/delivery of parts and equipment from/to labs and cubicles
Soliciting parts and equipment dropped off from lab clients to determine what should be scrapped and what should become inventory for the Depot
Refine and improve Lab Depot operational processes as needed
Coordinate “POD” external storage vendor activities, long term storage operations, pickup, and delivery, and document all activities in SharePoint DB
Support lab clean-ups by submitting a request for support equipment and materials for the clean-up as well as the disposition of equipment and material removed from the lab (except High Value Physical Intellectual Property (HVPIP))
Package, complete required forms, and ship items domestically and internationally
Research parts and equipment for use by engineers and technicians
Create orders to keep the Depot stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
Track all activities/metrics related to the lab and storage solution
The following are the minimum requirements for this role:At least 5 years combined experience in one or more of the following: Inventory, Retail, warehousing, and/or hardware experience, or some technical role
Shipping and receiving department experience
At least 2 years' experience working in some capacity with servers and client systems, ideally as a break-fix technician
Customer service experience, ideally in a retail setting
Highly organized and detail oriented
Able to identify system components, cables, and connectors for client and server systems, familiarity with modern parts and accessories
Able to use Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and SharePoint
Experience with Shipping and Receiving
