Anderson Environmental Contracting is seeking an experienced carpenter for temporary work to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products in Klamath Falls, OR.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented and have a great deal of common sense to bring to the team. This role also requires that a candidate is qualified to cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. Candidate must have the ability to follow detailed instructions quickly and efficiently while working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards.
Duties:
Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
Determines sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly
and erection of structure
Build frames for various jobs using raw materials or pre-constructed items
Lay out flooring, roofing or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible
Cutting, shaping and smoothing lumber or other material according to measurements
Build scaffolding and other construction structures
Carry out multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Operate all labor tools with proficiency
Follow strict safety protocols
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Self-driven and resourceful with ability to solve problems
Willingness to accept and carry out instructions of Site Superintendent
Professional demeanor
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Ability to meet all physical demands of job with constant movement and exposure to outdoor elements
Lift heavy objects safely
