JOB DESCRIPTION:
Maintain and operate outdoor store BBQ, promote and sell BBQ items to customers, wraps or packages items, uses cash register to total order, accepts payment and makes change. Responsible for ordering BBQ supplies. May assist in Bakery/Deli as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS:
Must be 18 years of age.
Use hand, arms, and fingers to operate BBQ.
Work in a standing position for 8 hours a day.
Excellent customer service skills.
Cook chicken, meats and other hot foods and make sandwiches.
Slice, prepare and present products to customers.
Use store intercom to alert customers of products.
Keep work area and BBQ clean and sanitary.
Complies with all safety guidelines and procedures, including maintaining BBQ in good working order.
Restock and order products as needed and garnish as needed.
Receive money and make change.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Any duties and responsibilities of the Bakery/Deli staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described below are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions for this job:
Work outside in varying weather.
Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours a day.
Use hands, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment.
Lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a occasional basis.
Carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis for a distance of 50 feet and up to 50 pounds on a occasional basis for a distance of 10 feet.
Push up to 100 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.
Pull up to 50 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.
Stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
May be required to use ladders and/or stairs.
Required to operate and maintain BBQ.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
An employee may encounter certain work environment characteristics while performing the essential functions of this position. They may include but are not limited to:
Extreme cold
Wet or humid conditions
Slippery surfaces
Confined spaces
Hot water and steam
