Ashland Supportive Housing is looking for some wonderful, intelligent, caring, dynamic people. We are hiring people with and without experience to be amazing Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in all 3 of our programs.
A little about us: Ashland Supportive Housing and Community Outreach supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living rich, fulfilling and productive lives with dignity and respect. We desire to support people with disabilities in being leaders in their lives to the best of their ability. We are a small, wonderful nonprofit with 3 residential homes supporting people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also manage a respite program for adults with disabilities to come stay for a weekend; and we have a Community Outreach program supporting people with disabilities in their own homes.
A little about our ideal applicant (You): Caring, patient, thoughtful, independent, follows directions well, supports independence, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to climb a ladder, push a wheelchair, cook, clean and be engaging and active.
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, have a current and valid Oregon Driver's License and be able to pass a DHS Criminal Records Check.
Desired but not required experience: Computers, caregiving, spending time with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, cooking, housekeeping and coordinating activities for one or many people.
Previous Med Aide, CNA, PSW and DSP strongly encouraged to apply.
Positions Available:
Part-time work supporting our clients in the community, possibility of expanding to full time. Must be available weekdays and weekends.
Relief Staff work in residences. Part-time and full-time available. Will have options for promotion within ASH. You must be available for nights and weekends.
