General Statement of Responsibilities:

Provides customer service and coordinates technical and clerical activities for the assigned area. Coordinates typing, computer entry and varied communicative and records processing work in direct support of the assigned area. Performs professional level support for the department and related services. Trains, schedules, and coordinates student workers. Interacts with community, students, and staff to provide efficient and courteous customer service.

Works under the general supervision of the Director of Allied Health Occupations and SOHOPE Grant Programs.

Supervision is not a responsibility of this position. May oversee student workers.

Examples of Duties:

Coordinates activities related to the assigned area; records receipt of documents; processes and disperses completed documents according to procedures.

Provides assistance and support in problem solving project planning and management, and development and execution of stated goals and objectives of assigned area.

Provides coordination of, and performs tasks connected with, program tracking and student records.

Greet visitors and patrons, and receives and screens telephone calls. Answers questions, directs calls and people to the appropriate person or place, schedules appointments, and provides information.

Makes appointments, schedules meetings, prepares agendas, makes travel arrangements and sets up schedules for Faculty and/or Managers.

Assists department faculty and staff in meeting deadlines, organizing time, coordinating schedules, and gathering data for special projects.

Maintains files and student data and tends database as applicable. Assist with creation, maintenance, and tracking of statistical reports, departmental budgets, and/or grant proposals, budgets, and reports.

Composes, formats, and edits documents and statistical reports such as correspondence, reports, minutes, memoranda, applications, and other materials.

Organizes and coordinates special events, fundraisers and meetings as assigned, including scheduling facilities.

Serves on college committees as assigned; attends staff meetings and other meetings as requested.

Trains, schedules, and coordinates student workers.

Maintains the security and confidentiality of all sensitive materials.

Maintains and applies current technical skills and knowledge in assigned computer technology areas to remain informed and be helpful to staff and students.

Participates in continuing education to remain current with developments in the field.

Maintains inventory and orders supplies for the assigned area. May perform minor bookkeeping or accounting tasks.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Prepares and distributes student vouchers, supplies, and related documentation.

Contacts internal and external partners, as assigned, to obtain program related outreach information.

Assists in facilitating participant wrap around service payments as assigned.
