Connecting Point, one of North America’s oldest and most respected technology retailers, is looking for a computer and device sales professional. Our sales associates tend to stay with us for a long time, so this kind of position doesn’t come up very often. The reason for our unusual employee retention? We're looking to immediately hirea friendly, passionate individual, with experience in retail sales and customer service. We aren't necessarily looking for computer or device sales experience, but familiarity and enthusiasm with both is a plus. Here is a partial list of qualifications and expectations we would have for a candidate:
Greet customers promptly upon arrival and ask if they need assistance
Process sales transactions at the POS (point-of-sale) counter
Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
Embrace the opportunity to learn the specifications and benefits of our products and services, both in structured training settings and on your own
Suggest add-on goods and services to customers, based on the items they have chosen
Execute special orders for items that are not in stock or that we do not carry
Replace merchandise on the shelves, paying special attention to end caps
Arrange special sale and clearance items at the front of the store for maximum visibility
Build rapport with customers and provide them with genuine guidance and support
Chip in to help keep the retail space neat and tidy for a great customer experience
Any familiarity with Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Beats, Windows PCs, or their associated accessories would be a plus
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), but could be scaled back to part time for the right applicant. Since Connecting Point is open seven days a week, we would expect our sales associate to be comfortable with working weekends.
