Rogue Community Health would like to welcome a full time IT/Epic Support Specialist position responsible to support mission and goal achievement, organizational quality and patient-centered care. Incorporate core organizational values of respect, integrity, compassion, honesty, and community in all activities and decisions. Implement Rogue Community Health's (RCH's) mission, philosophy and goals in all activities. Ensure the smooth operation of daily clinics by providing training and support to the EHR System and EHR end users. Works in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer and Clinic Site Managers/Leads to ensure the successful coordination of the EHR Management System and between front office and back office operations, processes and procedures. Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining a professional and respectful environment which supports the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients, their families, co-workers and volunteers. And provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers, which include team members, patients, volunteers, students, visitors, and vendors, by consistently exceeding the customer's expectations. This position is expected to travel to all RCH sites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assist with project coordination and site readiness

2. Determine and direct EHR workflow, and configuration/design decisions

3. Assure the successful implementation of EHR Program applications at all RCH clinic sites

4. Develop Practice Management System/Electronic Medical Records policies and procedures according to established procedure

5. Facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration, and training for optimal use of the

a. EHR applications

b. Review EHR Practice Management System's Friday updates w/ Super Users weekly

c. Communicate enhancements out to staff during the following week

i. (always cc: HISD)

ii. Email

iii. In person

6. Provide daily support to EHR system users through troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting through

a. Email/Phone Call from staff

i. Initiate Help Desk ticket on behalf of end user

b. Help Desk/JIRA

i. Acknowledge owner of RCH-HD tickets within 24 hrs.

ii. Monitor EHR-JIRA tickets weekly for progress

7. Identify and troubleshoot application issues assuring timely and sustained resolution of issues a. Help Desk/JIRA

i. Acknowledge owner of RCH-HD tickets within 24 hrs.

ii. Monitor EHR-JIRA tickets weekly for progress

8. Collaborate with clinic leadership and system users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in clinic operations, clinical practice support, and RCH health services plan benchmark achievement

9. Collaborate with EHR Vendor in testing new features and upgrades prior to implementation

10. Attend appropriate clinic department meetings as EHR expert and as EHR Vendor liaison

a. Attend all RCH Staff meetings

11. Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Software Training

1. Support upgrade training in collaboration with EHR Vendor

2. Support the planning and facilitation of training sessions

i. Training Assessment feedback

3. Assure issuance of ID and password and coordinate and provide all necessary training/support to new clinic staff, students, and providers

i. Training Assessment feedback from new hires

4. Provide competency/efficiency training for existing users

i. Training Assessments from staff

5. Collaborate and coordinate with EHR Vendor to translate learning and experiences into documentation, training aides, newsletters or other materials appropriate for clinic team learning

6. Coordinate with clinic leadership and provider champions for brown bag lunch sessions (or established staff or provider meetings) as forums for interest-raising, problem-solving, or training topics; and provide expertise and any handouts to support the event

1. Attend EHR Vendor workgroups as appropriate - meeting with peers for information sharing to and from EHR Vendor PM/EMR/IT resources, continuous training, and sharpening of support skills

2. Advances personal knowledge base by pursing continuing education in order to enhance Customer Service, Technical Writing, professional competence

3. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest office management and health care trends and developments

EDUCATION: Associate Degree in computer science or related field highly desirable

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one (1) year computer system experience that relates to Epic Practice Management System and EpicCare desired. Experience in the healthcare field required. Experience with medical coding desirable.
