Gage It Construction, a leader in guardrail, cable barrier and permanent signs repair and installation, is looking for a full-time Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Manager to manage our fleet of light duty work trucks, trailers, TMAs, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment.
The Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Manager will be responsible for monitoring the functioning of the company's vehicles and equipment and performing in-house minor maintenance and repair when appropriate. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and GPS tracking systems are mandatory for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews pre/post-trip reports on a daily basis to monitor status of equipment and prepares work orders for all vehicles and equipment in need of maintenance.
- Works closely with department heads to prioritize and delegate work orders to appropriate maintenance personnel and outsource work when necessary.
- Responsible for ordering parts for repairs and maintains detailed records of each part order and repair.
- Responsible for the scheduling, delivery, and pick-up of all outsourced repairs.
- Manage inventory included in each work truck, including beacons, work lights, safety equipment, first-aid kits, proof of insurance, registration, and collision package.
- Inspect equipment used intermittently (arrow boards, message boards, batteries, generators, etc.) to ensure proper working order.
- Manage and update company's master vehicle and equipment list.
- Responsible for scheduled maintenance and inspections of all vehicles and equipment, including annual DOT inspections.
- Manage GPS tracking on all vehicles.
- Manage computerized maintenance management system.
