We are looking for a creative Copywriter skilled in Journalistic standards for writing clear and concise copy for radio and video promotions as well as public relations, websites, and printed media. Your words will inform and engage target audiences.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice
Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
Collaborate with designers, PR and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects
Conduct high-quality research and interviews
Edit and proofread copy as needed
Collecting, verifying and analyzing thoroughly newsworthy information
Assembling findings into a stable story
Writing and delivering news stories with the reader’s perspective in mind
Stay up-to-date with the latest current events in the “beat” by studying papers, attending events etc.
Maintain positive client and vendor relationships
Suggest changes to office task workflow to improve efficiency
Assist in preparation of daily production tasks
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience as a Copywriter and/or Production Manager or related role
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Strong research skills
Creativity
Collaborative spirit
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
BSc/BA in marketing, English, journalism or related field highly valued
Work experience as a Reporter highly valued
Ability to gather, write and edit news
Computer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases)
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Spanish speaking and language skills highly valued
Compensation
40 hours per week
80 PTO hours annually depending on the number of weekly hours
8 hours of holiday time at their regular rate of pay for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
