Job Goal: To assist general education teachers in designing and implementing a curriculum for all learners. To assist in the supervision of students to create a positive and safe school environment.
This position is temporary; through January 29, 2021.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and/or Requirements:
Have standards of moral character as required by the district.
Demonstrated skills in and aptitude for work to be performed.
Previous experience working with children (preferred secondary experience, but not required).
Reports to: Principal and/or designated supervisor
Supervises: None
Performance Responsibilities: (include)
Implements individualized programs as directed by classroom teacher.
Maintain confidentiality with student records.
Helps implement behavior programs, both schoolwide and in the classroom.
Plans group activities under the direction of the teacher.
Keeps teaching materials and other equipment in working order.
Supervises students in multiple areas at different times.
Types, files, and answers communication as needed.
Assumes responsibility for the classroom for short periods of time when the teacher is not present.
Meets standards for competent and ethical performance as outlined in OAR 584-20-005 through 584-20-035.

Terms of Employment: Monday through Thursday 7.5 hours a day.
