Stahancyk, Kent & Hook seeks a front desk concierge and client intake coordinator for its Astoria office.

As the eyes and ears of the company, the concierge supports the entire firm by facilitating communication between all departments. This role is ideal for candidates seeking to gain experience in various business career tracks, or who want to experience the legal profession from the inside.

Some of the Main Tasks of This Job Include:

- Greeting and attending to clients upon their arrival

- Managing reservations for conference rooms (including necessary setup), company-owned properties and company vehicles

- Coordinating drivers for deliveries, court runs, and client/attorney court rides

- Frequent communication with staff through our multi-line phone system

- Oversee all aspects of front desk and conference rooms and common areas from position of concierge

-Oversee the facility building and property, fix basic items in the office or contact and schedule outside contractors, order office supplies, and run supply errands

-Process mail, hand deliveries and client payments

-Complete client intakes, conflict checks, prepare consult paperwork and retainers

Willingness to Learn Entry Level Legal Assistant Skills Such As:

- Provide support services to attorneys and other legal support staff as needed

- Assist with telephone, e-mail and fax communications

- Calculate and calendar deadlines

- Bill and enter time

- Prepare client correspondence

- Research and notarial skills

Required Qualifications:

- Professional manner and demeanor

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Adherence to a business dress code

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Mac operating system

- Keen attention to detail

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Sense of humor and team-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

- Administrative or office management experience

- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Physical Requirements:

This position may sometimes require periods of walking and standing. Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and reaching in storage areas.

Compensation: $2,000 per month with review after 90 days.
