Job Title: Traffic Manager Full Time: Full-time Summary: Do you thrive on pulling the strings behind the scenes and find gratification in the challenges of every new project? Are you skilled at taking big, overwhelming tasks and breaking them down into smaller, more approachable sub-tasks? Bicoastal Media in Coos Bay is looking for a Traffic Manager who understands that project management is more than managing day-to-day tasks, budgets and scopes of work. We’re looking for a team player who also understands people management. The traffic manager works with each of our departments to oversee all new and existing client projects. This position contributes to and leads company-wide initiatives related to improving our project delivery process and systems. A traffic managers main objective is to ensure that all marketing collateral and work from account services flows efficiently to creative and production departments. They are responsible for keeping everyone on task and projects on deadline, handling the logistics and keeping all parties updated on the progress.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day project tasks for account and creative teams. Producing, reconciling, and posting the daily commercial programming logs. Importing, order entry and revisions to orders. Scheduling and finalize commercial copy and merge in Radio Traffic. HR, AR and AP. Minimal use of Simian automation. Maintaining and distributing daily traffic reports, sales activity, pacing to sales team. Work closely with the sales department/creative to ensure effective communications. High degree of flexibility and the ability to work in a constantly changing and fast paced environment. Interact directly with radio production department to continuously deliver pending production; ensure all daily production is completed each close of day. Communicate early and often about project risks and offer alternative suggestions. Be able to communicate with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management.

Qualifications:

Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple departments.

Ability to work with department leaders to resolve problems, project conflicts and identify priorities.

Understanding of website development project lifecycle, including creative, development, testing, QA, and data collection.

Ability to learn how to manage creative projects including digital executions, collateral pieces and broadcast spots.

Ability to work with numbers and balance end of month numbers with previous month.

Detail-oriented while being able to see the big picture using Radio Traffic software.

Two to five years of banking or bookkeeping is a plus.

Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.

Excellent communication skills with internal and external team members.

Understanding of the language of the work from development requirements to broadcast production coordination, including both client-side and agency terminology.
