We are a lively, heart-centered pet supply store in Portland, dedicated to holistic pet nutrition — and we’re currently looking for a new team member to join our WILD pack.
If you have a passion for dogs and cats, love helping pet parents, and are excited to learn about pet nutrition, we’d love to hear from you! We’re searching for individuals with common sense, strong work ethic, reliability, and genuine enthusiasm.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES
-Love and comfort working with both dogs and cats
-At least 1 year of retail and/or customer service experience
(experience in veterinary, pet, or animal-related industries is a plus)
-Genuine interest in learning about pet nutrition
(no prior knowledge required — we’ll teach you!)
-Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and retain information
-Comfortable having warm, educational conversations with customers
-Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
-Enjoys teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment
-Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
-Creative, solution-oriented problem solver
-Reliable transportation
-Availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Provide friendly, knowledgeable guidance to customers about pet nutrition and products.
-Assist customers with checkouts, special orders, and returns in a warm, efficient manner.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
-Help pet parents to their cars when needed, ensuring a supportive experience.
-Stay informed about brands, ingredients, and pet wellness so you can confidently answer questions.
-Bring positive energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm to every interaction.
-Work collaboratively with fellow team members to keep the store running smoothly.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely and regularly.
-Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
-Able to bend, reach, squat, and move throughout the store as needed.
-Comfortable working around pets, cleaning supplies, raw pet food, and typical retail activity.
-Regularly unloading freight, restocking, and moving product displays.
HOURS & GROWTH
-30–32 hours per week, over 5 days
-Potential for increased hours after training
-This role is intended for someone seeking long-term employment, not temporary or seasonal help
