Pacific Community Design has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer.

As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day design and development of projects, focusing on high-level accuracy and collaboration. Using your expertise in Civil Engineering and CAD software, you will deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes while mentoring junior staff and working across disciplines to find innovative solutions.

Responsibilities, Tasks, Authority:

- Perform professional engineering work in planning, design, construction, and maintenance for projects such as site grading, wastewater management, transportation, and stormwater management.

- Prepare progress reports, field notes, engineering studies, and maintain project records.

- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, engineers, and outside agencies to ensure smooth project execution.

- Plan and complete inspections to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency requirements.

- Utilize Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and other tools to produce accurate designs, calculations, and reports.

- Act as a mentor to junior staff, fostering skill development and technical knowledge in Civil Engineering.

- Actively participate in business development and seek innovative improvements to workflows and operations.

Qualifications:

- 6-8 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with a proven track record of success in project planning, design, and execution.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon.

- Expertise in Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to perform accurate calculations in Excel.

- In-depth understanding of site layout and grading, stormwater management, transportation design, hydraulics, and hydrology.

- Clear written and verbal communication, effective time management, and a strong ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
