Sr System Engineer

• 5+ years demonstrated experience supporting IT Infrastructure in a 24x7 production environment.
• Mastery of Linux OS and applications, experience with CentOS/RHEL
• Mastery of PC hardware, storage, and networking
• Mastery of internet infrastructure (DNS, NTP, DHCP, LDAP) and service delivery
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Can take ownership of technical issues and advocate for the best solution in the face of disagreement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate project requirements and success criteria to multiple audiences, including individual contributors and senior management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical field or the equivalent in work experience.

• Agile/SAFE experience
• Experience with cloud providers: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure
• Experience with virtualized environment, ex: Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMware
• TLS and Digital Certificate Management
• Experience with load-balancing/reverse-proxy technologies: ZTM, F5, Nginx
• Ability to design and measure complex infrastructure environments
• Experience in computer networking fundamentals and technologies

• Build, operate, and grow highly available and resilient server systems in a 24/7/365 SaaS environment.
• Maintain production systems at a high state of functional readiness. Respond to and resolve service issues.
• Work with Development teams and SRE on application-level issues in a consultative and supporting role.
• Participate in production systems first level on-call rotation.
• Document systems, configurations, and processes.
