ASSOCIATE TECH PORTLAND, OR 100% Onsite! Required Skills:
- Undergraduate in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, environmental biology, epidemiology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, or public health.
- Experience working in a government, private or academic laboratory performing biological or chemical analyses.
- Looking for an organized individual with the ability to multi-task, computer skills and attention to detail are key attributes of the desired candidate for the role.
- Good communication skills.

- Familiar with Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Familiar with shipping product - working with companies like FedEx, DHL, UPS, USPS - will be trained on the exact process when starting.
- ONSITE 4-5 days/week; possible off on Fridays until an Onsite Mgr/Supervisor is identified; start at 32 hours per week but will move to 40 hours once the Friday supervisor is set.
- Technician needed to set-up inventory system and stock lab for R&D use, as well as receive and ship ingredient/ finished product samples, and general lab clean-up.
- Analyze food samples for compliance and regulations.
- Maintain records of analysis and prepare reports of analytical results.
- Understand basic principles of instrument/detection operation.
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments and maintain logbook.
- Adhere to the method SOPs and the SOPs in the ISO Quality Manual.
- Maintain GLP and QA for current chemical methodology; address problems and initiate correct action to insure an efficient.
- Will be trained on new software for inventory management; working with materials management team in Wilsonville and Tualatin to obtain ingredients for R&D location.
