AWS/Cloud Engineering with experience vetting technologiesRemoteOur direct client is looking for someone that can help strengthen their Cloud Platform team. Client is moving off of current CI/CD pipeline. Development teams are targeting AWS as primary deployment platform. Terraform skills are a must. EKS/k8s is becoming more prominent for the extended team. An ideal candidate will be a leader in vetting technologies and creating direction, not someone that just wants to work items from a backlog.Cloud engineering role focusing on operational and currency of public cloud services to enable application development and support teams to successfully deliver and operate their solutions. Advises application developers on GitOps practices. Requires working with development teams to understand and support team/product roadmaps. Additionally, work with L2/L3 operations teams to ensure the cloud platform is appropriately supported. Will be engineering logging, monitoring, and networking solutions leveraging public cloud service offerings. Secure public cloud services for consumption by HIPAA compliant workloads.Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as the go-to person for public/hybrid cloud solutions.Technology Used

- 8+ years in an equivalent role Minimum 6 year experience in Amazon services and technologies (Knowledge and engineering level experience working with all AWS services like API-GW, Cognito, Lambda, EKS, ECS, S3, VPC, ACM etc) Experience working in a regulated industry. ie: HIPAA, finance
- Experience vetting technologies
- Create direction for team, not just hands on dev work is required
- DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code: AWS environment and application automation utilizing Terraform and third-party tools
- Effective and timely documentation
- Effectively communicates bi-directionally
- Ability to work with distributed/remote teams
