Ledgent Technology has partnered with a successful EMR Billing company in search for their open Cyber Security Engineer role in the Portland Market! This is a 100% remote full time direct hire role! MUST HAVES:Azure, Experience with SOC Type 1/2, Pentesting Experience, and Experience in SaaS Security.

ROLE SUMMARYThey are seeking a talented Cyber Security Engineer who has a security first mentality and wants to be a part of a close-knit team delivering a SaaS solution nationwide to the healthcare industry.

This individual will be responsible for network and data security of the cloud hosted infrastructure across dev, QA, and production environments at our client's. This includes real-time threat assessment, monitoring dashboards and logged events, and helping the Security Council review and mitigate any incidents that may arise.

The position will interface primarily with internal staff and will have a high level of impact on customer satisfaction based on customers experience with their product, the release process, and customer service levels. The nature of the position entails frequent new and varied work situations with a high degree of complexity. There are established some established procedures, but the individual will expected operate with little direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Continuous improvement of the security posture- Ensure security strategy covers prevention along with detection and response- Screen and test the organizations software and infrastructure for vulnerabilities- Maintain and deploy security tools for prevention as well as data collection- Identify and remediate weakness and vulnerabilities- Create and maintain Security policies and procedures that ensure all systems follow regulatory security standards and compliance.- Mentor and train engineering team on security best practices in web development- Member of the Security Council.- Work closely with our security partner for independent threat assessment, including penetration, application, physical, and social testing.- Perform on-call support, as required, to maintain service levels across environments.- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the team and the entire organization.

ATTRIBUTES

- Deeply know and understand the threat landscape-

Must have technical skills and abilities such as: - Expert in public cloud security, must be with Microsoft Azure. - Expert in best practices for security networks, large scale web applications, virtual machines, containers, and Microsoft SQL Server- Expert in building and operating threat intelligence tools and cybersecurity platforms- Team player mindset. You know how to get things done but you work well with others.- Ability to clearly document your work so others can understand it easily.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Must work well in fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- 3+ years in SaaS Cybersecurity. This is a MUST have. - 3+ years using a SIEM tool such as Sentinel or Splunk.- Expert in cloud security management and end point protection with Azure. This is a MUST have.- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and treat technical risks.- Strong familiarity with HIPAA and or SOC 2 Type 2 and Type 1 security requirements.- Minimum 5+ years of progressive IT work experience with production systems in a fast-paced environment.- B.S. degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.- Strong written and oral communication skills.- Healthcare IT industry experience desirable.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Strong preference for one or more of the following: - CISP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional- CISM: Certified Information Security Manager- CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker- DSOE: DevSecOps Engineering
