- Promotes AWS product awareness and provides pre-sales technical engineering assistance including phone support, system diagrams, proposals, and training in order to support TD SYNNEX AWS sales team.
- Works closely with TD SYNNEX AWS Product Manager and the AWS representatives to execute technical marketing events.
- Establishes and develops solid business relationships with AWS representatives, TD SYNNEX customers, and other internal TD SYNNEX departments.
- Identifies opportunities to improve the quality of pre-sales engineering engagement with inside and outside AWS sales teams.
- Accepts ownership of suggested improvements and works with the TD SYNNEX sales team(s), AWS representatives, and pre-sales engineering management to develop and support customer sales opportunities.
- Provides technical solutions and configuration design guidance to customers and sales team(s) on AWS Products and Services and uses independent judgment in making solution recommendations
- Provides support to internal sales/marketing teams to increase vendor and product awareness both internally and with TD SYNNEX customers
- Provides technical presentations and training to TD SYNNEX sales, support, and customers
- Reports on key metrics and activity updates as directed by management
- Updates TD SYNNEX's systems and tools with accurate technical data on AWS and related product line updates as directed by management
- Provides technical and non-technical input to sales team(s), project leaders, and management, as required
- Provide input concerning AWS usage and regional growth to support TD SYNNEX global AWS teams on key initiatives, marketing strategy, and sales plans
- Performs additional duties, as assigned
- Minimum of (3+) years of experience with hyperscaler cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud vendor
- Minimum of (5+) years of technical sales or support experience in IT systems and software
- Preferred (1) year of experience in formal product sales presentations and/or technical sales training experience
- Knowledge of architecture and interoperability concepts of various cloud technologies including IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in consumption/subscription models, hybrid cloud integration and implementation concepts, and related service delivery models, server operating systems, with strong technical troubleshooting abilities in at least (2) of these areas
- Minimum AWS Cloud Practitioner level application desired, AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification(s) or better desired with a strong commitment to continued development of technical skills and certifications
- Required Education: High School Diploma / G.E.D
- Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree or better in Computer Science or related field of study
- Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others
- Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines
- Able to create and conduct formal sales presentations and/or product demos
- Able to display proficiency with interacting with people by being friendly, outgoing, articulate and socially at ease during meetings with co-workers and/or customers
- Able to express technical concepts, thoughts, and ideas clearly and convey necessary information to non-technical audiences
- Able to use relevant computer system applications (which may include spreadsheets, word processors, databases, etc) at an advanced level
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Possesses strong technical skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive, when required
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion eiyh minimum supervision
