What We'll Bring:TransUnion Global Fraud Solutions delivers industry leading capabilities in identity validation and digital insights to help our customers fight fraud and streamline trusted consumer experiences. We are embarking on another step in our journey with a multi-year Fraud Platform Modernization program. This program will include development of a new global fraud platform along with modernization of our existing fraud point solutions. The Director, Solutions Modernization, will build and lead teams in the modernization of our in-house fraud point solutions. This new position will develop solution modernization strategy in partnership with architecture leads and other members of global technology leadership while driving cloud implementation and migration from legacy technologies. A particular focus of the Solutions Modernization role will be to adapt TransUnion fraud solutions for regionalized global delivery to meet ever changing regulatory requirements including data residency. This position will report to the VP, Product Engineering, for Global Fraud Solutions.What You'll Bring:- 10 years of experience in Java and Java service-oriented transaction processing architectures
- Previous success in senior leadership roles for engineering and architecture teams
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure
- Experience in systems design, implementation, and engineering leadership for SaaS products and services
- API design and implementation experience
- Familiarity with NoSQL data stores (key-value, column-oriented, & graph DBs) and messaging systems
- Successful delivery of high-availability, low latency architectures
- Experience migrating from on-prem software solutions to cloud platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, proactively recommend solutions, and solve complex problems
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in delivering technology solutions in multidivisional, multinational organizations
- Experience working in a matrixed structure with dynamic teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Product Marketing, Operations, Technology/Engineering, and senior executives)
- Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of rapid change, growth and a drive for continuous improvement
- Outstanding team player with a customer/consumer experience mindset who can interact effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects and various deadlines simultaneously
- Expertise in delivery of fraud prevention solutions, particularly for the financial services segment
- Familiarity with client-side applications and data collection on both web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
- Understanding of the evolving global security and privacy regulatory landscape (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and privacy-by-design engineering
- Defining and leading fraud solutions cloud migration and modernization in close collaboration with Global Fraud Solutions Product Management and Global Technology stakeholders.
- Manage and lead cloud development practices, which will enable global delivery of fraud solutions with a privacy-by-design focus.
- Enhance existing Digital Insights solutions for cloud native delivery.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Product Management to drive your team's design and implementation of the next generation fraud point solutions
- Develop the members of your team - including regular 1:1s, jointly setting goals, regular check-ins for those goals, creating development plans
- Build productive relationships with the POs, Architects, and Scrum Masters that work with each of your teams, and partner with those individuals to best support the team
- Participate in PI ceremonies and be accountable to agreed upon commitments. Be accountable for your team's budget and forecasting
- Help define and execute a resourcing strategy combining new and existing teams with third-party consulting services where needed to accelerate delivery.
- Beyond 90 days - Complete team build-out and execute against delivery milestones in collaboration with broader next generation platform program
- In the first 90 days - Execute initial resourcing plan and draft strategy for point solution transformations
