What You'll Bring:
  • 3-5+ years of experience working in Java development
  • Familiarity with relational databases and containerization technologies (Kubernetes is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Unix/ Linux environments
  • Familiar with the use a collaborative and cross-functional team approach to help develop high throughput, highly available, horizontally scalable services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, proactively recommend solutions, and solve complex problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of work and educational experiences

We'd love to see:
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as ActiveMQ, Kafka
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as AWS, Azure

Impact You'll Make:
  • In the first 90 days - research and become familiar with existing technologies and architecture standards, participate in team planning ceremonies, and understand our development pipeline
  • Beyond 90 days - effectively advocate and communicate on code and process improvements, provide code snippets, examples, integrations, and comment on development design and solutions presented by development teams
  • TransUnion's Global Fraud Solutions group provides a leading intelligent fraud prevention platform. This role is expected to participate in up-front design, ensuring built-in quality, deploying code into production, and monitoring the health of the services
